Areas: paintings

Whilst out for a walk this morning I was inspired by a blanket of orange, red and scarlet leaves at the base of some lean trees by a bridge. Naturally it was too cold to sit and paint so I took a photo and worked from that instead.

Areas: prints sketches

As part of the Vent Collective for this years Christmas exhibition I decided to get a few small glicée prints done of some of my sketches. I’ve always wanted to screen print a few of my sketches but never really found the time to join a print collective, so I guess these are the next best thing.

Areas: paintings

Tonight, based upon last weeks success I decided to start with acrylic washes, then cut in with the opaque acrylics.

Areas: paintings

Tonight I decided to experiment with acrylic washes (as I'd forgotten white acrylic) and red pen and ink.

I really like how the washes keep the picture loose with the addition of the tight pen and ink lines.
